Situated near Rylstone in the Central Tablelands region of NSW and on the western edge of the Wollemi National Park is the historic property Birds Hut.

The rustic Birds Hut residency and nearby Ganguddy (Dunns Swamp) provided me with a unique opportunity to spend a week immersed in the impressive landscape and environment - time to sit, explore, paint and draw. This residency gave me back time, to dwell peacefully, observe the daily flow of nature and translate this into a series of works that are both familiar and new at the same time.

I was captivated and inspired by the history, beauty, natural and varied landscapes the region offers.
